We are currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) Physiotherapist in Clinic. The designated office for this position will be London.
Responsibilities:
- Work within multidisciplinary Clinic team to provide consultative assessments and brief intervention for children with a variety of physical conditions and disabilities including Spina Bifida and Cerebral Palsy
- Provide consultative assessments and short-term treatment for torticollis clinic and plagiocephaly;
- Collaborate with families, physicians, and community therapy providers during Multidisciplinary Clinics and provide follow up services from Clinic, including but not limited to orthopedic and upper extremity, spine, general development, and PABICOP;
- Assist clients and families in connecting with community resources as appropriate;
- Support community-based therapists in following through with client and family treatment goals;
- Facilitate referrals to community therapists and programs as appropriate;
- Assist in the development of information-based resources for clients and their families;
- Assist with coordination of client follow-up between clinics, or upon discharge from a clinic
- Supervise students and support personnel as required.
Qualifications:
- Registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario;
- Experience in pediatrics with clients of different needs, conditions, and complexities in a range of settings is preferred;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team setting as well as ability to work autonomously;
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office 365 and videoconferencing software (ex. Teams);
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required;
- Current First Aid and CPR certification;
- Ability to provide services in French would be considered an asset.
