We are currently recruiting for a permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) Speech Language Pathologist in Clinic. The designated office for this position is London. The anticipated start date for this position will be in November 2024.
Responsibilities
- Plan services and provide consultation for children with a variety of abilities, often as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes the family, other care providers, school board personnel, volunteers, staff from other agencies, and other TVCC staff;
- Facilitate referrals to and consult with community therapists as appropriate;
- Assist clients and families in connecting with community resources as appropriate;
- Provide support for the Developmental Paediatric Clinic(s) including but not limited to speech/language assessments and academic screening;
- Brief targeted intervention may be required;
- Consultation with the School Therapy Services clinicians and school board SLP’s;
- Supporting the ASD Diagnostic Hub assessments;
- Cross training support to new and existing clinics;
- Supervision of students and support personnel may be required.
Qualifications
- Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario;
- Experience working with paediatric patients with complex medical needs is preferred;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment;
- Computer proficiency including MS Office Suite 365 and videoconferencing software (ex. Teams);
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required;
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR;
- Ability to provide services in French is considered an asset.
