TVCC’s Ethics Committee aims to promote the provision of quality, ethical services and ethical organizational practices.
TVCC uses an ethical framework to encourage reflection and discussion of ethical principles impacting decision-making. The framework can be used to work through a specific ethical dilemma or as a structure to review or guide organizational decisions in children’s rehabilitation practice. The committee membership includes TVCC leadership and front-line staff as well as a community member such as a parent/guardian.
Ethics Committee Functions:
- Familiarity with TVCC’s ethical framework.
- Support and use TVCC’s ethical framework to guide discussions about ethical issues or dilemmas.
- Share information with staff about TVCC’s ethical framework and promote ethical decision-making.
We are seeking a TVCC parent or guardian to join our Ethics Committee! We are looking for someone with an interest in ethics and supporting ethical decision-making at TVCC. We meet virtually for 2 hours four times a year, on the third Tuesday of March, June, September, and December.
If you are interested, please contact the committee chair, Kristel Pallant, at 1.866.590.8822 Ext 53361 or Kristel.Pallant [at] tvcc.on.ca (subject: TVCC%20Parent%2FCaregiver%20Representative%20for%20Ethics%20Committee) (Kristel[dot]Pallant[at]tvcc[dot]on[dot]ca).
