This group is for TVCC youth and their siblings (8-11 yrs) of all abilities who reside within Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford, Huron, Perth, Grey, and Bruce counties.
What to Expect
TVCC clients are invited to this new series that will inspire creativity and foster self expression through arts and crafts! In this series, we'll get messy and creative while trying out new artistic modalities and projects. Each week will include creative warm up activities followed by a focal project.
Weekly themes include:
- Creative Storytelling (through paint and colour)
- Emotional Intelligence (through mask making and mood mandalas)
- Natural Reflections (through using objects from nature)
- Makers' Mind (through collaborative projects)
- Participants will be provided with all materials and will take their creations home with them.
In this program participants will:
- Participate in self-expression activities to develop self-awareness
- Learn different arts and crafts techniques that promote well being
- Build upon existing social skills and meet new friends
Participant Criteria:
- TVCC clients (ages 8-11) living in Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford, Huron, Perth, Grey, and Bruce counties
- Able to participate in a group and engage in artistic activities with or without accommodations.
- Interested in arts and crafts; all artistic skill levels welcome.
