We are currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) Physiotherapist to fill a vacancy in Early Childhood Services. The successful candidate will provide services in Middlesex, Elgin and Oxford counties. The designated office for this position is London.
Responsibilities:
- Provide screenings, assessments, consultation and intervention;
- Plan services as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes the family, other care providers, volunteers, staff from other agencies and other Centre staff;
- Provide community intervention that is direct or mediated, individual or group and adapts as needs and goals change;
- Prepare and support children and families in the transition to school;
- Provide education for clients, families and others;
- Participate in planning services as part of a team including care providers, volunteers, staff from other agencies and other Centre staff;
- Provide community-based (e.g., home, child care, family centres) and Centre-based intervention within the Life Needs Model of Service and the Tiered Model of Service;
- Participate in service development and evaluation;
- Participate in and/or integrate and share current research/literature on disability, family and community development;
- Supervision of students and support personnel may be required.
Qualifications:
- Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario;
- Experience working with children, youth and families is an asset;
- Current knowledge of best practices and literature related to disability, family and community development and the Life Needs Model;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to work well within an inter-professional team;
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office 365 and videoconferencing software (ex. Teams);
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required;
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR;
- Ability to provide services in French is considered an asset.
