For TVCC clients, aged 12+, who are interested in art and who are able to work independently on their project. Support workers are welcome.
What to Expect
Our clients, 12 yrs and older are invited to participate in this workshop focused on making ornamental objects.
These ornaments are inclusive for any winter celebration (Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, New Years Eve). The youth will be encouraged to create several structured art and craft projects, using different mediums and approaches during Creative Connections.
They will also be supported to make it their own, chosing their perferred materials and themes. These projects are approriate for youth interested in art who are able to participate safely in a group and work independently on their project. Youth who need additional support are welcome to bring a support person. All supplies will be provided.
In this series, youth will work on building creative and artistic leisure skills, strengthening existing fine motor and planning skills, and make connections with other youth who have similar interests.
