For preschoolers with special needs, who are TVCC clients, 2 - 5 yrs, and their parent/caregiver.
What to Expect
Jumping Jellyfish is a 2-week specialized parent and tot swim program for preschoolers with special needs/disabilities in TVCC’s therapeutic pool.
Children will explore readiness and basic swim skills, including group songs, safe participation, and pool entry/exits. Parents/caregivers will learn how to participate in a pool program with their young children.
For this swim program, parents/caregivers MUST accompany their child in the water and be within arms reach at all times, even if they are wearing a floatation device.
Parents/caregivers must be comfortable moving through chest-deep water (1.2m), understand how to be safe in the pool, and be able to respond to the needs of their swimmer. If this does not describe the parent/caregivers comfort in water, please contact tr [at] tvcc.on.ca (tr[at]tvcc[dot]on[dot]ca) for alternate pool programs.
