Sibling Social at Fleetway

For siblings (12+) of TVCC clients (12+) who reside in the counties of Elgin, London-Middlesex, Oxford, Huron, Perth, Grey, and Bruce.

What to Expect

Siblings of TVCC youth clients are invited for a fun afternoon at Fleetway to eat, play, and socialize! You can bowl, try glow in the dark mini putt, visit Dairy Queen, and hang out with other tweens and teens.

Being a sibling of a youth with a disability is a unique experience that comes with many ups and downs. Siblings may not often have the opportunity to connect with others who have had a similar personal history. This afternoon will give siblings the chance to meet others who have a shared lived experience in a semi-structured social environment.

Partcipants are responsible for bringing their own money for food and bowling, mini putt, and/or arcade games. This program is hosted by TVCC Wellness Project Youth Event Leaders, and the Wellness Project Social Worker. This group is open to siblings of TVCC clients aged 12 and up.

Through this program, siblings will:
-Socialize with other siblings of TVCC clients
-Participate in physical activity through bowling or mini putt

Participant Criteria:

  • Siblings of TVCC clients aged 12 and up
  • Able to participate in group activities with minimal support; participants are welcome to have a support person present to assist them
  • Able to stay with the group
