Games & Lego at the Library!

For TVCC clients and their siblings, ages 10 yrs+, along with parent/caregiver.

What to Expect

Join the TVCC Youth Team for this exciting board game & Lego program designed to encourage social skill development and self-confidence, as well as provide a fun space for family bonding! 

We will be hosting the program in London libraries around the city. We will have resources about the library available and can assist in getting your youth their first library card. Getting your first library card unlocks a whole new world of independence and exploration!
This group is for TVCC famlies, clients and their siblings ages 10 yrs+.

Through this program, youth will:

  • Practice social skills through turn taking, group activities, and peer connection
  • Improve communication skills through shared activities and discussion
  • Learn about public reasources available at the library
  • Develop independence and confidence through registering for their own library card
  • Meet other families and clients from TVCC

There will be coffee, water and timbits for families to enjoy during the program. 

Participant Criteria:

  • TVCC clients and their siblings ages 10 yrs+
  • Able to participate safely in group activities and discussion
  • Interested in board games and/or lego and able to participate with or without accommodations

This program is facilitated by TVCC's Wellness Project. The Wellness Project is a four-year program aimed at rebuilding and enhancing mental wellness for youth and their families. We understand that the past few years have brought unique challenges, and we want to help. We're running programs with a focus on connection, mindfulness, physical activity, and new skills.
