Trauma-Informed Care

For community partners, educators and clinicians working with children/youth with ASD.

What to Expect

Many children and teens with Autism and other developmental disabilities experience traumatic stress, so it's important to adjust treatment to support them.

This workshop brings together expert speakers to share effective strategies for using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) with children and youth who have Autism or developmental disabilities.

Through discussions and real-life examples, participants will learn how TF-CBT can be incorporated into treatment plans while still following evidence-based practices tailored to the unique needs of neurodiverse youth.

This education is the last in a series offered in partnership with TVCC Autism & Behavioural Services, Western University Education, and the Mary J. Wright Child and Youth Development Clinic. It is an exciting opportunity for Behavioural Services and Mental Health Services to work together!
